Welcome to TY Y MOR it means The Sea House in Welsh!

I’m Caryl the owner of the property.

Thank you for choosing to visit Aberporth, we know you will enjoy your stay!

We hope that you enjoy a present from Wales that we have left for you, along with some milk, tea and coffee.

We will outline some of the workings of the house but if you have any problems please feel free to call me on my mobile.

Arrival is at 4.00 PM

Please can you leave the property by 11.00 AM at the latest.

Please leave it, respectively, in a tidy state as you found it.

Bedlinens and towels should be put into plastic bags and left on the floor

Dishwasher should be run on your departure.

Please PULL the entry gate forward as the driveway is sloped and it is essential that it comes towards you.

You may have to position your car close to the road so that it will clear the gate when opened.

There are towels for your use but please do not take to the beach

There is a spiral washing line next to the garage and pegs are in a pot by the back door.

We provide a bag of logs for the wood burning stove.

Should you need more there are a few outside on the back deck and please leave a donation that you deem appropriate for the amount you use.

Please DO NOT use the decorative logs next to the wood burner, they have been cut to fit the storage space!

The 30 -minute quick cycle is best to use.

Press the far left on button and then the far-right button twice.

It does say refill salt but has done since we installed it!

The heating will be set on a timer by Abbie who helps me run the house.

This will be set in accordance to the weather but if it’s too warm then switch off the radiators in the rooms.

The living room and kitchen have under floor that is controlled by a switch and a dial and is best left alone

This is on a timer and is sufficient for normal use. Should you need an occasional boost there is a button on the control pad outside the main bathroom, marked H/W

Please DO NOT switch it on the main fuse box.

There gas bottles for the hob on the left-hand side of the house facing the sea.

There is a spare tank.

You will need to ignite with the ignition gas tool in the pot behind the hob.

Please replace the key back in the key-lock and swivel the dial.

You should do this once settled in the house so you have an emergency key should you lose when out.

This has happened and so this will ensure you have no anxiety if keys are mislaid

There are 2 sets of keys hanging up by the side door on the left as you come in

Please replace them there as you leave.

Any lost keys will be charged at £20 a set.

Please provide your own logs

You can buy charcoal in the village and most petrol stations

Please do not have any fires around the tank, only on the stone deck!

We have secured the property as best we can but please be aware that a dog could squeeze through a hedge or fence and we can’t be responsible if they manage to escape.

The driveway gate should be closed at all times when you are in the house as a precaution.

Please do not allow your dog on the furniture or beds.

Please do not place anything hot on the table directly.

The bottles are placed in the red bin

Recycling is in the clear bags as marked this is collected every week.

Penny and Peter Giles (Bath)
Stunning Beach House

This was our first visit to this part of Wales and unfortunately we chose a week of pretty wet and wild weather! However, if anything, this made our stay at Ty y Mor all the better as we were able to return home after battling against the wind and rain to this wonderful house. Light the log burner, pour a glass of wine and take in the fabulous surroundings. A relaxed beach house with all the home comforts. A light and spacious living room, stunning open plan kitchen diner and cosy bedrooms. Fabulously showers and bath. Everything you need in the kitchen to cook a gourmet meal for 10 if you so wished. But what makes this house so special to stay in is the feeling that it is someone’s home and you are trusted to look after it during your stay, browsing the many books and picking up design tips as you go! Some days we really didn’t want to go out. We have stayed in many locations, in many hotels and self catering places (ex travel business). Ty y Mor has to be one of the best.

Hi Penny and Peter . Thank you so much for the lovely review and I'm thrilled that you had such a great stay. I must agree it is indeed a stunning property and made even more special by Caryl's personal touches and impeccable taste.A gem of a property. Hope to see you back again at Sea and Slate. Many thanks . Eleri
