This cute renovated milking barn is located close to the pretty habourside town of Aberaeron and the beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay in West Wales.

Cosy down in front of the log-burner and chill in this super insullated cabin, drink in the uninterupted views while sitting on your own private deck with a glass of something cold.

Either way, you cannot fail to be charmed by this little gem of a place.

There is plenty to see and do right on your doorstep - Marvel at the incredible wildlife that surrounds the cabin, these include kites, buzzards and butterflies.Breathe in the fresh country air whilst overlooking the organically farmed land with grazing Hereford cattle and Llanwenog sheep.

Close by is the Ceredigion Coastal Path which stretches for approx 60 miles up the coast and is a spectacular vantage point to watch for an amazing array of sea birds, dolphins, porpoise and seals.

THE LOW DOWN:

Y Llaethdy is a  traditional old stone barn which has been transformed and extended into a light and airy open-plan space with a secret, wildflower-roofed cabin  bedroom behind a bookshelf.

Kitchen /Living /Dining Area

The living area includes a well equipped kitchen, dining table and chairs, a large sofa and television and a comfy armchair set in front of a working wood burning stove.

Push  the integrated bookshelf to magically reveal an adjoining timber barn  with wildflower roof that houses the bedroom (with king size bed) and  shower-room. The inside walls are clad with birch-ply giving the space a Nordic feel.

From the living room, oak French doors open out  onto a decking area with table and chairs and extends beyond to a large  private garden with fruit trees.

Y Llaethdy benefits from wireless internet but please note we are in a semi-rural location and  whilst the internet is suitable for basic surfing it is not strong  enough to stream TV.

Guest access

Y Llaethdy is a private, self-contained building with its own parking  area, entrance and a large garden with uninterrupted views out on to  open countryside.

Other things to note

Please be aware that the bed is custom made and is lower than a standard bed.

Y Llaethdy overlooks working organic fields.  Sheep and cows are raised  and hay and crops are grown and harvested depending on the season so  you may see the occasional tractor (and farmer) pass by.
