Red kite barn Newbridge on Wye, Newbridge on Wye, LD23SG, United Kingdom
Your digital detox begins here... The Red Kite Barn is situated in its own private 80 acre woodland estate in Powys near Builth Wells and Newbridge-on-Wye. Above the barn are the green mountains of the Elenydd. Access to the barn is via its own private track off the B4358 road near the village of Llanafan Fawr between Newbridge-on-Wye and Beulah. The nearest village of any size is Newbridge-on-Wye. If you enter the village on the road heading from Builth Wells, pass through and look out for the turning on your left, signposted to Beulah. Take that road for approximately 2.5 miles. At the brow of the hill, where the parish church is set back from the road on your right behind yew trees, take the single track lane on the right just beyond the church and adjacent cottage. There is a wooden sign here for 'Red Kite Barn'. Keep going along this lane without deviating to the right until you come to a wooden 5-bar gate. Keep straight ahead after this gate until you come to another turning on your right [which you ignore] and a second wooden sign to 'Red Kite Barn'. Carry on straight ahead along the rougher track, keeping the de-forested area to your right, at the end of which keep going for a further 100m and you will see a second wooden 5-bar gate on your right bearing a sign reading 'Red Kite Estate'. Pass through this gateway, and head straight on, passing over a wooden sleeper vehicle bridge, and up a fairly steep incline [keeping your revs up!] until the barn appears in front of you. Pass in front of the barn at the bi-vocation of lanes, and park up to the right of the building. You have arrived!
The key safe is by the front door and the code is 2006
Added Covid information
Your property will be clean and tidy upon arrival.
In light of the Coronavirus, we are asking our homeowners to instruct their housekeepers to focus more on items that are frequently touched e.g. door handles, keys, remote controls, radios, light switches and bedside lamp switches which should be cleaned and wiped thoroughly with anti-bacterial disposable wipes.
Current NHS guidance is that Coronavirus is most commonly transmitted via human-to-human contact and cannot survive on surfaces for long but we consider this additional cleaning a sensible precaution.
We would suggest that you wash your hands regularly, as handwashing remains the best defence for infection prevention.
If you have any further concerns, we recommend that you bring your own anti-bacterial wipes and anti-bacterial handwash with you.
If you do fall ill during your stay and suspect Coronavirus, or do so soon after travelling home, please do notify us immediately.
If you develop symptoms whilst you are on holiday
Call 111if your symptoms get worse or persist
Visitors should inform Sea & Slate and/or the owner of property
We sadly are unable to refund you for your holiday if for any reason you cancel your break within 8 weeks arrival period – We strongly advise that you check your terms on your travel insurance as to how you may be affected if you are forced to cancel
Wishing you a healthy and happy stay
