This little architect designed, handmade timber framed cabin is for couples who truly hunger for a simple rustic retreat away from our busy world.
However, 'rustic' doesn't mean without style and its luxurious touches, this little 'Pig-Let' oozes all of this, charm and much more!
This little cabin is perfect for all of those who wish to experience the rural outdoors but with all the home comforts.
Cwtch Ciliau has been built within the restored stone walls of a former pigsty and outhouse and attached to the farmhouse
It is perfectly located just 4 miles inland from Cardigan Bay and all it has to offer. There are fabulous restaurants serving locally sourced fish and produce, activities including Dolphin watching, kayaking and walking the stunning coastal path is a must - it stretches an impressive 60 miles along the coast
THE NITTY GRITTY:
WI-FI
The Pig Let benefits from Wireless Internet - Note: As The Pig Let is located in a semi rural position, it is suitable for basic surfing but not for streaming film /TV content
HEATING:
Central heating in the cabin is provided from the farmhouse. There is a thermostatic radiator valve on the main radiator by the staircase.
Restored from an old farm building The Pig Let's compact space has the best of both worlds with the old charm of the restored building and the contemporary designed interiors with modern insulation keeping guests cool in the Summer and cosy and warm in the winter months.
GROUND FLOOR:
Living area: with sofa, armchair and a small library of books
A compact shower-room and loo (sits below the sleeping loft)
UPSTAIRS:
Narrow stairs take you to the sleeping loft (a modern take on the traditional Crog Lofft)
- Double bed - with view from the window over open countryside
OUTSIDE:
Your own enclosed verandah with dining area, a table for two and chairs
Covered outdoor camp kitchen (Double gas burner stove) ideal use for simple meals and cooked breakfasts! Very much like camping!
- *Important Notes:
The Pig Let is built onto the side of the farmhouse (think semi-detached) so it may be possible to hear the occasional sounds of family life.
The ceiling heights are restricted to 6ft 2" under the platform at the highest point of the loft - The staircase is narrower and steeper than a standard one and the shower cubicle compact too.

Added Covid information
In light of the Coronavirus, we are asking our homeowners to instruct their housekeepers to focus more on items that are frequently touched e.g. door handles, keys, remote controls, radios, light switches and bedside lamp switches which should be cleaned and wiped thoroughly with anti-bacterial disposable wipes.
Current NHS guidance is that Coronavirus is most commonly transmitted via human-to-human contact and cannot survive on surfaces for long but we consider this additional cleaning a sensible precaution.
We would suggest that you wash your hands regularly, as handwashing remains the best defence for infection prevention.
If you have any further concerns, we recommend that you bring your own anti-bacterial wipes and anti-bacterial handwash with you.
If you do fall ill during your stay and suspect Coronavirus, or do so soon after travelling home, please do notify us immediately.
If you develop symptoms whilst you are on holiday
Self isolate
Call 111if your symptoms get worse or persist
Visitors should inform Sea & Slate and/or the owner of property
We sadly are unable to refund you for your holiday if for any reason you cancel your break within 8 weeks arrival period – We strongly advise that you check your terms on your travel insurance as to how you may be affected if you are forced to cancel
Wishing you a healthy and happy stay
