The Lowdown

This fabulously cosy eco cabin (Stoep) has particularly high credentials in terms of its construction and running costs.

Set within its own patures overlooking the rolling hill of Ceredigion this romantic retreat delivers 'cosy' in bucket loads!

The cabin offers superb open plan living for two people with a kitchen/ dining room area, living room with log burning stove, a screened off bedroom area and a seperate loo and shower.

The brainchild of the owner who build the traditional oak structure and clad it in wattle and daub, finishing it off with traditional lime render - he has made a resounding success of the build - he has made sure that every attention to detail has been attended to and there has been no expense spared to ensure that this build is exceptional! Highly insulated, with ground source heat pumps ensures that guests are cosy through out the year. This place is a gem!

Please feel at home and wander around the meadows, wet grasslands and woodland. By keeping to paths, ground-nesting birds and animals are not disturbed. The Long Barn is available for the use of guests, with its open wood fire, sofas, piano and table football. There may be other guests so please respect their privacy.

Wonderful few days..

I had a wonderful few days at The Stoep which has the feel of a wilderness lodge but with all the mod cons you need for a comfortable stay. I loved the interior which has a rustic but stylish charm. All the fittings and furnishings are top quality. Outside is a nature lovers dream and the Stoep is in a private spot surrounded by natural meadows . With only the sounds of birds and rustling trees it took a big effort to actually go out and explore. It was a wonderful escape and I feel like I’ve been away for weeks not days. So relaxing that I’m sure I’ll be back in the future.

Perfect getaway...

A perfect getaway location, in a rural countryside. The views are spectacular and the Stoep has been beautifully built. With a wonderful log burner it creates the perfect opportunity for peace and relaxation and is the perfect place to come back to after a day of walking in the country side. The Stoep is honestly a hidden treasure and we will definitely be returning.
